Sensei Rose Shuff

Sensei Rose Shuff started training shotokan karate in 1981. She has over 30 years of experience teaching karate and is a former U.S. National Team member. She represented U.S. competing in 1994 5th JKA Shotocup held in Philadelphia. She has competed in regional, national, and international level tournaments.  She won National Collegiate Champion in both kata and kumite in her category in 1993.

Sensei Lane Nevils

Sensei Lane Nevils holds the rank of Godan, 5th Degree. He has over 30 years experience teaching karate and is a five time U.S. National Team member, 1997 U.S. National Kumite Champion, and 2007 U.S. National Kata Champion. He has trained and competed throughout the U.S., Europe and Japan. Mr. Nevils is a student of Sensei T. Mikami, 9th Degree Black Belt and former All Japan Kumite and All Japan Kata Champion.  He is a JKA certified instructor, examiner, and judge.

Sensei Holly Damico

Sensei Holly Damico is an instructor at Lafayette Karate Club. She completed Yondan (4th Degree) ranking in 2018.  She has competed in regional, national, and international level tournaments. She was an alternate on the 2014 USA team for the World Shoto Cup, which was held in Japan.

Sensei Brandin Jefferson

Sensei Brandin Jefferson is our Junior Warriors/Beginners Class instructor at Lafayette Karate Club. He obtained Sandan (3rd Degree) in 2021 and has competed in multiple regional and national level tournaments. He recently qualified a USA team member for the upcoming 2024 JKA World Tournament in Japan.
